Join us this Christmas as we welcome back our popular Christmas Cracker - an evening jam packed with festive laughs from the very best in local Comedy talent. Your host for the evening Sean Hegarty welcomes not one, not two, not three, but four Comedians to join him on stage for an evening full of festive cheer!… ‘tis the season to be jolly’ after all!

Diona Doherty

As a comedian, actress, writer, and voice over artist, Diona Doherty is making waves in the entertainment world from all angles. 

In September 2023, Diona announced her debut tour, Got MILF, as a comedian, Diona has joined the long running BBC panel show The Blame Game on BBC One N.I as a series regular and the only female permanent panelist. She has now appeared on four seasons. Diona was also shortlisted to the N.I final of The BBC New Comedy Awards 2021 and has guested on Radio 4’s The News Quiz and BBC Radio Scotland’s Breaking The News.

She guest led an episode of Derry Girls for Ch4/Netflix as KATYA, played one of the leads in three series of BBC improvised comedy Soft Border Patrol and is a reoccurring character Grainne in BBC’s Give My Head Peace. Diona also played the lead in BBC Sounds series What Happens In Ulster, lead cast in 8 seasons of radio series A Perforated Ulster as well as appearing in Penance for Ch5 and new comedy pilot Dry Your Eyes for BBC. 

Diona has written short BBC film Sh*t Stepmum, a thirty minute radio episode of What Happens In Ulster and audio play Dani Dives In for The Mac Theatre Belfast. She has co-written the adult Christmas show, Home Malone, for the Waterfront Hall Belfast in 2021. Diona has also three other comedy play commissions that will tour in N.I in 2022/2023.

Sean Hegarty is famed for his highly popular comedy, which saw him become a semi-finalist on Ireland’s Got Talent. Having performed across the globe in locations such as Cyprus, Belgium, Norway and France, Sean has amassed an impressive 60 million views of his comedy and claimed the title of Ireland’s Funniest Joke 2017. With previous performance credits including the Edinburgh Fringe, Vodaphone Comedy Festival and Altogether Now Festival, Sean is highly popular for a range of comedy club performances, as well as being booked as a comedian to perform at corporate events and sports dinners.

With his comedy sketches amassing 100 million views, Sean has a cult following in the comedy circuit that has seen him perform at venues such as the Bray Comedy Festival and the Dalriada Family Festival. A versatile comedian perfect for a range of demographics, Sean was a runner up in the 2014 UK Pun Championships and has acted as tour support for Patrick Kielty.

Dave Elliott

Dave is one of the go to headline acts on the Northern Irish Circuit. He is the resident host of the popular Pugs Comedy Club in Belfast and in early 2020 completed his first UK and Ireland tour with his second solo show DAD.

In 2021 and 2022 Dave headlined the famous Ulster Hall with his third and fourth solo shows ‘Pillowtalk’ and ‘Bits and Pieces’.

As one of the stars of the BBC NI show the ‘Lockdown Rave’ and ‘Lesser Spooked Ulster’as well as co-hosting of the popular BBC Radio Ulster show ‘The Shane Todd Show’, Dave has been making waves since hitting the comedy circuit in 2014.

Dave is currently developing a number of sitcom series with Hat Trick Productions and BBC Studios.

Aaron Butler

Aaron Butler is a stand-up comedian from Northern Ireland and is quickly making a name for himself in the local comedy scene. His unique brand of humor has made him one of the fastest-rising up-and-coming comedians in the country. He has played at some of the most prestigious comedy clubs in Northern Ireland, including Lavery's Comedy Club and The Empire.

Coming off the back of his first sold out Solo show ‘Africa’ Aaron has also provided support for big-name acts such as Shane Todd, Colin Geddis, and Micky Bartlett. With a growing fanbase and a reputation as one of the most exciting new comedians in Northern Ireland, Aaron Butler is definitely a comedian to keep an eye on.

Johnny Bow

A regular at all the top comedy clubs in the country, Johnny Bow brings his dark and deadpan one-liner style comedy to (insert venue). Having supported some of the best comedians here, Shane Todd, Micky Bartlett and Colin Murphy (once, it still counts), Johnny Bow has just finished his second solo show at Limelight, Belfast and is definitely one to watch in 2024.
