Leo Miyagee

Leo Kamutsi, A.K.A Leo Miyagee, is one of the biggest names coming out of the Northern Irish rap scene and one of the few artists to bring the old school style of Hip Hop to Ireland.

Miyagee has shown a variety of different cultural influences in his music having been born in Zimbabwe, having moved to London when he was 3, and having moved again to Belfast when he was 13. Miyagee was first introduced to music through gospel and as he grew up, he formed an interest in grime listing artists such as Chipmunk, Skepta, and Icekid as some of his major influences. However his ears were then turned to Hip Hop when ex-girlfirend bought him Nas’ Illmatic on vinyl.

Miyagee first broke into the music scene with the release of his debut EP ‘Bluebird’ in 2018. This record opens up with ‘C.O.T.C’ by demonstrating his early musical influences through samples of Akala’s Fire In The Booth immediately followed by vocals from fellow Northern Irish rapper Arcane Soakes. This tune sets the tone for a chill, creative, classic hip hop EP. The single for this EP, ‘Akulalake’, is a seriously whopper tune. I got a real Joey Bada$$ vibe off this song due to the sample and disc scratches used in the intro and throughout. Leo Miyagee quickly followed up on ‘Bluebird’ with another EP entitled ‘Ffdlc’ being released in April earlier this year. This is yet another fantastic record illustrating Miyagee’s vast diversity, cultural background, lyrical talents, and creativity. CONTACT

String Ninjas

String Ninjas are a Belfast based instrumental duo consisting of Fingerstyle Guitarist Gavin Ferris & Electric Violinist Mick Conlon. Having formed in 2017 against the backdrop of the Belfast open mic/ music scene the pair quickly established themselves as a musical force to be reckoned with and have since redefined what it is to be a cover act. Their unique sound, characterised by heavy bass-lines, complex rhythms, technical solos and advanced performance techniques, has helped the ninjas stand out, transfixing viewers with their energetic live performances and warm, welcoming personalities.

After performing at a number of high-profile music events including Sunflowerfest, Stendhal, Dalriada festival, Ards International guitar Festival, Hilden Beer & Music Festival, Derry Jazz Festival, Illumination festival, Belfast Guitar festival and, most recently, supporting the Hot House Flowers at Derry's prestigious Guild Hall, the ninjas have garnered a lot of positive attention, wowing audiences with their own distinctive arrangements of modern-day classics. From 90s Dance Music to Classic Rock, Pop to Jazz, Bluegrass to Trip-Hop, no genre is safe! With their fan base ever growing the String Ninjas are definitely ones to watch.

For both casual concert goers and seasoned musicians alike, this duo will capture your undivided attention. The unique blend of grooving, intricate fingerstyle guitar parts intertwined with virtuoso "Jimi Hendrix" styled electric violin make for the perfect storm and will leave you wanting more.

wornoc

Having just formed in April 2021, Dublin based artist wornoc (aka Conor Walsh) has carved out a niche in forward-pushing alternative-electronic sounds from these shores. At the heart of his craft is a sensibility rooted in the push-and-pull of post-rock – all gossamer phrases one moment and surging release the next – inspired by the likes of God Is An Astronaut, Massive Attack and Bonobo. Having championed the likes of Rock Sound Magazine, BBC Introducing, RTÉ and Hot Press Magazine, it’s clear there is something special and novel to his work, sounds that are far removed from what’s going on in the Irish music scene. wornoc’s music is cinematic, intense and emotional. Driven by infectious grooves, lush ambient textures, melodic guitar riffs and electronic music. To date, wornoc has collaborated with highly renowned musicians - Andrew Marshall (drummer for Billie Eilish), Justin Nace (Ex member of PVRIS), Josh Manual (ISSUES) and Brian Finnegan (Flook).

"wornoc provides an intricate, delicate and technically brilliant display of music being built from the ground up" - Rock Sound

“Truly incredible music”Dan Hegarty, 2FM

“Stunning, emotional, relaxing, intense and cinematic” - Hot Press
